About EIC
EIC, The Conference Interpreters’ Firm, was established in 1974 by Brazilian interpreters who attended the original Swiss school that first specialized in what we know today as simultaneous interpretation – a type of translation that was specifically conceived to meet the needs that arose with the Nuremberg Trial (1945/1946). EIC’s purpose was to bring together a team of interpreters who would provide simultaneous translation services of the highest quality with the utmost professionalism. That purpose remains the same to this day.
Since then, our team has been translating Heads of State, Scientists, Businesspeople, Teachers, Experts, members of Royalty, Trade Unionists, Religious Leaders, Diplomats, Doctors and Nurses, Chefs and many others at Summit Meetings, Congresses, Conferences, Seminars, Symposia, Conventions, Courses, Board Meetings, Videoconferences, Press Conferences, and many others.
