About the Interpreter
Celia Kfouri has been working in the interpreting market since 2008. Her working languages are Portuguese, English and Spanish. With dual citizenship and residency in Brazil and the US, she works as an interpreter in both countries.
Celia has interpreted at major conferences for international organizations (BRICS Summit, COP 28, IADB, Clinton Foundation, WHO, USAID, etc.) and the private sector (Cargill, Citibank, Ford, DowDuPont, Bridgestone, Pfizer, etc.). She has also interpreted world leaders such as Barack Obama, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Michael Bloomberg, Tony Blair, King Abdullah II, all Brazilian Presidents and Foreign Affairs Ministers since the FHC administration, as well as a number of Ministers of Justice, Economy and Justices of the Brazilian Supreme Court, and a dozen or more Nobel laureates.
Her background includes extensive knowledge in the legal field – she is a lawyer with a postgraduate degree and has been a member of the Brazilian Bar Association since 1993 – and international arbitration. She has in-depth experience in compliance audits, mergers and acquisitions, and in the areas of economics/finance, automotive, international relations, the environment, energy, education and IT. Given her presence in the American Midwest, Celia has intensified her practice in agribusiness, especially in animal health and nutrition.
